Prototype: Union Pacific Railroad (UP) class 800 US heavy steam locomotive, with an oil tender. Locomotive road number 844. The locomotive looks as it did in 2016.
Model: With digital decoder mfx+ and extensive sound functions. Different operating sounds such as refilling oil and water or sound from opening and closing sliding windows and ventilation flaps on the driver’s cab can also be controlled digitally. Controlled high-efficiency propulsion with a flywheel in the boiler. 4 axles powered and traction tires. Spoked wheels. Headlights on the locomotive and tender, driver’s cab lighting, and number boards/marker lights with maintenance-free, warm-white light-emitting diodes (LED), can be controlled digitally. Smoke generator with dynamic smoke emission installed as standard. The headlights and smoke generator contact will work in conventional operation and can be controlled digitally. Two powerful speakers in the tender. Coupling imitation can be inserted in the standard shaft on the rail clearer at the front. Close coupling with kinematics between locomotive and tender. Notes on operation: The locomotive can be used on curve track from radius 2 (437.5 mm), but a larger radius is recommended. Due to the overhang of the long boiler, signals, catenary masts, bridge railings, tunnel portals, etc. must be kept at a sufficient distance from the curve of the track. For the heavy weight of the locomotive, the track must be firmly fixed. The turntable and transfer table can only be driven on in the passage position.
