Supplement to the 9010 multiple unit as an ICE 786 for the train route Munich Hbf – Würzburg Hbf – Fulda – Hamburg-Altona.
- Standard built-in LED interior lighting.
- Different internal lighting effects – can only be controlled digitally in combination with the basic set.
- Pantographs as a digital function can only be raised and lowered separately in conjunction with the basic set.

This is a 3-car add-on set for the ICE 4 (item 22971). Special close couplings with link guide. Standard built-in LED interior lighting. The interior lighting is supplied via the continuous electrical connection of the entire train – only functional and can be controlled digitally in combination with the ICE 4 set. Both pantographs on the intermediate car can only be raised and lowered separately in conjunction with the basic set via the decoder as a digital function.
Total length 90.5 cm.
The 22971 basic set can be expanded with the 23971 add-on car set and the 23972 intermediate car.
