Prototype: German Federal Railroad (DB) class 078 (former Prussian T18) steam tank locomotive. Version with three boiler structures (DDS), angular sandpit. Riveted water tanks, driver’s cab roof with angular structure, triple headlights with DB reflex glass lamps. Road number 078 256-5. Based in Aalen. The car looks as it did around 1969.
Model: The locomotive has a digital decoder and extensive sound functions. It also has controlled high-efficiency propulsion with a flywheel in the boiler. 3 axles powered. Traction tires. The locomotive is largely made of metal. Set up for smoke generator 72270. The triple headlights and smoke generator contact change over with the direction of travel, will work in conventional operation, and can be controlled digitally. Two red marker lights can be controlled separately in digital operation. In addition, the cab lighting can be controlled digitally. Lighting with maintenance-free warm white and red light-emitting diodes (LED). Numerous separately applied handle bars and cables made of metal. Minimum radius of 360 mm that can be driven on. Piston rod protection tubes and brake hoses are included. Length over the buffers approx. 17 cm.
